Dr. Joseph C. Finch, D.O.

Dr. Finch is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement.  He is a specialist in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee.  After residency he completed a one year fellowship in hip and knee replacement at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis from 1999-2000.  This year included intensive training in complication revision hip and knee replacement in people who have had many surgeries.

In 1999 he complete his residency at Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan and affiliated with Michigan State University-COGMET.  He earned his Doctorate of Osteopathy (graduating magna cum laude) from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri in 1994.

He currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan State University and is involved in teaching orthopedic residents.  He is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.  He is also a clinical examiner for the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. 

Currently Dr. Finch utilizes Computer Assisted Navigation for Total Joint Replacement to optimize alignment and outcomes for patients undergoing this procedure.  He is also involved in the development of new technology and procedures for Minimally Invasive Total Knee and Total Hip Replacement.

Dr. Finch specializes in Total Joint Replacement of the Hip and Knee.  He has a special interest in those people who have pain, infection or instability after total hip or total knee replacement.
