Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Alfred M. Faulkner, D.O., Joins Medical Staff at Botsford Hospital

Farmington Hills, Mich. (February 25, 2013) — Alfred M. Faulkner, D.O., has joined the medical staff at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. This board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon sees patients at Michigan Orthopedic Specialists at 21031 Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, (313) 277-6700.

Dr. Faulkner’s specialty interests include adult and pediatric orthopedic trauma, post-traumatic pelvis fracture reconstruction, complex fracture reconstruction of the extremities, acute and chronic fracture care, and surgical and nonsurgical pediatric fracture care. He conducts ongoing research on the subject of orthopedic injury.

After graduating from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience in Missouri, Dr. Faulkner completed a rotating internship and orthopedic surgery residency locally at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital. He concluded his postgraduate training with a yearlong orthopedic surgery trauma fellowship at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas.

Dr. Faulkner is an assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at Wayne State University. He is professionally affiliated with the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Michigan Osteopathic Society.
